How to Install the Bottler App on

Android

Download the APK from either a PC or Device to get started

Installation Prep

Depending on your version of Android there may or may not be a little set up required prior to attempting to install an app from sources other than the Google Play Store.

Step One

Swipe down from top of screen to
open the Notifications tray.

Click the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen.

Alternatively, open the applications menu and search for Settings to open the Settings App.

Step Two

Click Lock screen and security

Step Three

Ensure Unknown Sources is turned on/checked

For Android 8.0 (a.k.a. Oreo)

Oreo does things a little differently. Rather than check a global setting to allow installation from unknown sources,  you’ll be prompted to allow your browser or file manager to install APKs the first time you attempt to do so.

This just means that instead of manually turning this feature on, Android asks you if you want to turn it on when you attempt to use it.

Other Devices

Obviously not all devices were created with the same interface. There may be slight variations of this process, depending on your device. One example of this differentiation is for an Amazon Kindle.

Install From Device

After following the Installation Prep steps detailed above, navigate to this page from your device and follow the steps below to install the Bottler App.

Step One

Click the Download APK button at the top of this page to download the Bottler app to your device

Step Two

Once downloaded, open either the default My Files/Files app or your preferred File Manager app
(i.e. ES File Explorer).

Depending on your browser, you may have the option to open the file upon successful download, without having to navigate to it via a File Manager. This will appear in the form of a popup asking you whether to open the Folder or File.

If that’s the case, click Open File and skip to Step Four.

Step Three

Using your preferred File Manager app, navigate to your Downloads folder.

Depending on the app you use, your most recent downloads may be featured upon opening the app.

The default app should have an Installation Files category for quick navigation (see Step Two screenshot).

Once you’ve accessed your downloads folder, click on the APK file for the Bottler App.

Step Four

You’ll be asked what app you want to use to open the APK file. Choose Package Installer.

Step Five

Depending on your device and the version of Android you’re running, you’ll get a series of popups.

The typical popup will list the permissions the app requires and whether or not you still wish to install.

Step Six

You should be notified upon successful install.
